Privacy policy

Alimentotherapy has no accounts, no advertising pixels and no newsletter, and it never asks about your health. Since it launched on 18 October 2026 it has used Google Analytics, with advertising features off, to see which pages are read. This policy describes the small amount of information that is processed and why.

Last updated October 18, 2026 (effective date)

Who we are

Alimentotherapy is published by Silicon Valley Ventures (“we”, “us”). You can reach us about anything in this policy through the contact form (choose “A privacy request”).

What we collect and why

  • Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message and the page you sent it from. We use these only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of the correspondence.
  • Bot protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam. Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser and your IP address when you load and submit the form. It runs on the contact page only.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request details (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. Our content delivery network processes the same details.

Analytics and cookies

Alimentotherapy launched on 18 October 2026 with Google Analytics 4, so we can see which pages are read and which are not. This policy described it from the first day.

  • What it records. The page address (without any query string), the referring page, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you move between pages. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off, and nothing is linked to advertising.
  • Cookies. Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies on alimentotherapy.com: _ga (a random identifier that tells one browser from another, kept up to 2 years) and _ga_SLR0WG4H28 (the state of the current visit for this property, kept up to 2 years). We also keep your choice in your browser’s local storage (at.consent.analytics) and, for the current tab only, whether the consent-first rules apply where you are (at.consent.analytics.region in session storage).
  • Consent. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you choose Agree. Elsewhere it loads by default and you can choose Decline. To decide which applies we use your browser’s time zone and a check that returns only “EU” or “not EU” for your connection; we store neither. If either suggests Europe, or the check fails, we ask first.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as Decline and Google Analytics does not load, unless you choose Agree on this site.
  • Pages it never runs on. The contact page and the contact form endpoint.
  • Changing your mind. “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page reopens the notice. Decline stops measurement at once, tells Google Analytics that consent is withdrawn, and deletes the _ga cookies.

Affiliate networks may set their own cookies after you click a partner link (see below). Alimentotherapy sets no other cookies. The interactions search runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.

Service providers (processors)

We use these companies to run the site, each under its own privacy terms:

  • Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
  • Cloudflare: content delivery, security and Turnstile bot protection.
  • Twilio SendGrid: delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
  • Google (Google LLC; Google Ireland Limited for the EEA, UK and Switzerland): Google Analytics 4 website analytics, since 18 October 2026, with consent first in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

They process information on our behalf to provide these services. We do not give them permission to use it for their own advertising.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are not stored in a database. They are delivered to our email inbox and kept there as long as needed to deal with your message and for our records, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting and delivery providers under their own retention schedules.

Affiliate links

Some links go to companies that pay us a commission (see how we make money). Those links pass through a /go/ address on this site that forwards you to the company and records nothing about you. After you click, the company or its affiliate network (such as Awin or CJ) may set cookies to credit us with the referral, under its own privacy policy. We receive commission reports from those networks: order and commission data, not your name or contact details.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. We disclose personal information only to the service providers above so they can run the site for us, or where the law requires it. Google Analytics runs with Google signals and ad personalization off.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither); and
  • not be treated differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, use the contact form and choose “A privacy request”. We will confirm what we hold (usually only correspondence) and may ask you to confirm the email address you used so we do not disclose someone else’s messages. You may use an authorized agent. We honor Global Privacy Control signals: a browser that sends one is treated as having declined analytics (see Analytics and cookies).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a page mentions children, it is written for parents and caregivers. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the contact form is protected against automated abuse, and we keep the information we hold to a minimum. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details through the form. In particular, please do not send us personal health information: we cannot give individual medical advice, and you do not need to tell us about your health to ask a question about a page.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If we add anything else that collects data, this page will say so, and name each cookie, before it goes live. Change log: 18 October 2026, policy published, with Google Analytics described from launch (see Analytics and cookies).
